With the goal of producing well-qualified IT professionals, Western Governors University (WGU) distributes the CompTIA Certification Scholarship Awards annually for up to $2,000 to new incoming students who are enrolling in one of the university's nine competency-based IT degree programs. 4. Frank B. Gillespie Jr. Memorial Scholarship

At Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC), the Frank B. Gillespie Jr. Memorial Scholarship is presented annually for $500, $750, and $1,000 to three deserving matriculated students who have declared a major in computer forensics, computer science, computer information systems, network technology, computer programming, web design, geographic information systems, gaming development, or network management. Ranging in value from $2,000 to $4,000 each year, the Hazel Manville Award for Network Management was created from a generous bequest to provide financial aid for graduate students enrolled at the School of Information Studies (iSchool) at Syracuse University in New York. For residents of the "Hawkeye State," the Iowa Network Services Scholarship is available to provide $500 to $1,000 annually to five or more graduating high school seniors who are planning to pursue an STEM-related course of study in technology to build a career in network management or telecommunications. 10. Kentucky Student Technology Leadership Scholarships

In the amount of $1,000, the Kentucky Student Technology Leadership Program (STLP) Scholarships are granted through the Rural Technology Fund (RTF) to financially support high school seniors who will be attending college to pursue a degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, network management, informatics, information security, and more. 11. Kocher Technology Scholarship Program

Since 2007, the New Hampshire High Tech Council (NHHTC) has hosted the Kocher Technology Scholarship Program annually to provide awards for $2,000 to students pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in any technology-related field, including network management. Eligible applicants must be employed by a Council member company, be planning a high-tech career, maintain a minimum overall GPA of 3.0, and be actively involved in school activities related to technology. 12. Next-Gen Technology Scholarship

In collaboration with Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC), the Next-Gen Technology Scholarship is presented annually by the Iowa Communications Alliance (ICA) to cover 75% of tuition costs for deserving students enrolling full-time within the college's A.A.S. program for Network Technology-Telecommunications/Data Communications. Annually, Novell partners with the Utah State Office of Education (USOE) to provide the Young Network Professional Scholarship Program to outstanding high school seniors who have demonstrated leadership abilities and a passion for pursuing a high-tech career in network management. In memory of a teacher at the Chariho Career and Technical Center, the Roger B.
