Deadline: February 1st
Sponsored by the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) Education Foundation, the Allen and Loureena Weber Scholarship is granted annually for $1,500 to full-time undergraduate students who are enrolled in an accredited degree program for manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or engineering technology. Eligible candidates must have completed at least 30 college credits, carry a minimum overall GPA of 3.0, possess technical aptitude, and demonstrate a desire for practical learning in engineering. Preference will be given to graduates from Dayton High School as well as students attending a university within Kentucky.

2. Benjamin F. Fairless Scholarship
Deadline: March 2nd
In collaboration with the AIME, the Association for Iron & Steel Technology (AIST) has created the Benjamin F. Fairless Scholarship to present $6,000 each year in honor of the long-time Chairman of the Board at U.S. Steel Corp. Qualified applicants must be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate program for metallurgical, electrical, mechanical, industrial, chemical, environmental, or computer engineering at an ABET-accredited university in the United States. Applications must include a current resume, two letters of recommendation, official transcripts showing a minimum GPA of 2.5, and a personal essay conveying interests in the steel industry.

3. Donald and Barbara Mozley Scholarship
Deadline: January 15th
In honor of a renowned broadcast journalist who spent 62 years working for CBS Radio and covering automotive history, the Donald and Barbara Mozley Scholarship is awarded through the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) International for $5,000 each year. Qualified candidates must be U.S. residents, attend an ABET-accredited college, be pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering full-time, possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5, have earned an SAT math score of 600 or above, and exhibit financial need. Applicants must submit a completed application, official academic transcripts, standardized test scores, and at least one letter of recommendation.

4. Dr. Stephen T. Kugle Scholarship
Deadline: March 1st
Created in memory of a former student section advisor at the University of Texas at Arlington, the Dr. Stephen T. Kugle Scholarship is offered for $3,000 each year through the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). Eligible candidates must be ASME student members and U.S. citizens who are earning a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, mechanical engineering technology, or a related field with a minimum overall GPA of 3.0. Applicants must use the funding to cover tuition at a public university in District E, which includes Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah, and Wyoming.

5. Future Engineers Scholarship Program
Deadline: October 15th
Funded by Kelly Services, the Future Engineers Scholarship Program is hosted annually to award $5,000 to full-time undergraduate students who are currently enrolled in an accredited higher learning institution in the United States or Canada to receive a bachelor's degree in engineering. Eligible applicants must be accepted into the School of Engineering, have attained sophomore or junior-level standing, carry a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, and demonstrate potential for success in the engineering field. Students must submit a candidate background information form, a maximum 1,200-word personal essay, two recommendation forms, and official college transcripts.

6. George B. Hightower Fellowship

Administered by the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE), the George B. Hightower Fellowship is designed to award $3,000 each year to outstanding graduate students who are currently enrolled full-time in a master's or doctoral program for engineering at an ABET-accredited institution. Applicants must be NSPE members, have U.S. citizenship or legal permanent residency, maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2, and have internship or co-op experience in the engineering field. For consideration, applications must include college transcripts, a current resume or CV, two faculty recommendations, and a 500-word essay describing career goals in construction engineering.

7. Hans P. Loewen Scholarship
Deadline: February 1st
Established by the American Nuclear Society (ANS), the Hans P. Loewen Scholarship is given for $2,000 annually in honor of an avid outdoorsman and outstanding midshipman third class at the U.S. Naval Academy who passed away at the youthful age of 20. Eligible candidates must be graduating high school seniors, college freshmen, or sophomores who are enrolled full-time in college coursework to earn an engineering degree. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents, be accepted at an ABET-accredited university, demonstrate leadership qualities, maintain good academic standing, and have career aspirations in nuclear engineering.

8. Intertek Engineering Scholarships
Deadline: February 6th
As a leading quality solutions provider to industries worldwide, Intertek has recently created a scholarship program to provide $10,000 awards annually to five promising undergraduate students pursuing a degree in engineering. Qualified applicants must be English-speaking U.S. or Canadian citizens, be enrolled full-time at an accredited university, be sophomores or juniors, maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2, and show a sincere commitment to a career in the engineering field. 9. Kennedy/Jenks Consultants Scholarship
Deadline: March 9th
Annually, the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) offers the Kennedy/Jenks Consultants Scholarship in honor of David D. Kennedy for $7,500 to junior, senior, fifth year, or graduate students who are enrolled full-time in an engineering program accredited by the ABET. Qualified individuals must be pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree, attend an approved American college, have U.S. citizenship or permanent residency, be interested in the business or management of engineering as a profession, and carry a minimum overall GPA of 3.0. Selection will be based on candidates' academic record, relevant work experience, faculty or engineer recommendations, extra-curricular involvement, and essay responses.

10. Maureen L. and Howard Blitman Scholarship
Deadline: March 1st
Within the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE), the Maureen L. and Howard Blitman Scholarship is distributed annually for $2,500 to two graduating high school seniors from ethnic minority groups who have been accepted into an ABET-accredited engineering program. Eligible African American, Hispanic, or Native American students must plan to attend a four-year senior university in the United States, have U.S. citizenship or lawful residency, be actively involved in the engineering community, and maintain good academic standing. Students must send a completed application with high school transcripts, SAT/ACT scores, a current resume, four essay responses, and two faculty recommendation letters.

11. Marvin Mundel Memorial Scholarship
Deadline: December 1st
In the amount of $1,000, the Marvin Mundel Memorial Scholarship is granted annually by the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE) for two undergraduate students current enrolled in an accredited industrial engineering degree program at a higher learning institution in the United States, Canada, Mexico, or any U.S. territories. Applicants must be involved in IIE chapter activities, exhibit leadership in the industrial engineering profession, carry a minimum overall GPA of 3.0, have at least one full academic year remaining, and exhibit financial need. Priority will be given to qualified candidates with an interest in work measurement and methods engineering.

12. NACME Pre-Engineering Scholarships
Deadline: March 15th
Each year, the National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering (NACME) offers $2,500 Pre-Engineering Scholarships to the nation's highest achieving African American, American Indian, Alaskan Native, and Hispanic/Latino graduating high school seniors with a commitment to a career in engineering. Eligible recipients must be participating in a pre-college Academy of Engineering, have U.S. citizenship or permanent residency, be accepted into an accredited bachelor's program for engineering full-time, maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, and have a preferred math score of 550 or above. Preference will be given to applicants who've been admitted at one of NACME's partnering institutions.

13. Nico van Wingen Memorial Graduate Fellowship
Deadline: November 1st
Funded by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), the Nico van Wingen Memorial Graduate Fellowship is presented for $5,000 each year in honor of a petroleum engineer who played a major role in developing oil production technology in the United States, Austria, Canada, Germany, and other countries. Eligible candidates must be SPE members, be actively involved in an official student chapter, be pursuing a Ph.D. degree in petroleum engineering, and plan to lead a career in academia. 14. Northrop Grumman Engineering Scholars Program
Deadline: February 4th
Offering $2,500 over four years for a total of $10,000, the Northrop Grumman Engineering Scholars Program is available for promising high school seniors who intend to pursue a degree full-time in an approved engineering, computer science, mathematics, or physics program. All applicants must be U.S. citizens, be accepted at an accredited four-year university, have earned a minimum composite SAT score or 1700 or ACT score of 27, and boast a minimum unweighted high school GPA of 3.5. Applications will only be accepted from students living in communities in California, Florida, Illinois, New York, Ohio, Utah, and Virginia where Northrop Grumman has a major presence.

15. Paul H. Robbins Honorary Scholarship

Also administered by the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE), the Paul H. Robbins Honorary Scholarship is given for $5,000 to full-time undergraduate students who are starting their junior year in an ABET-accredited bachelor's degree program for engineering. To qualify, student members must be U.S. citizens, attend an approved American university, maintain a minimum overall GPA of 3.0, demonstrate financial need, and possess relevant internship or co-op experience in engineering. Applications must be submitted with an official transcript, a current resume, two faculty recommendations, and a 500-word personal goals essay.

16. Peppy Moldovan Memorial Award
Deadline: April 1st
Within the Illinois Society of Professional Engineers (ISPE), the Peppy Moldovan Memorial Award is delivered for $1,000 each year to female engineering students who are currently enrolled as sophomore-level undergraduates in an accredited bachelor's program. Applicants must be matriculated in the engineering program at Illinois Central College, Kaskaskia Community College, Rend Lake Community College, Bradley University, Southern Illinois University, or the University of Illinois. 17. Society of Women Engineers Scholarships

Ranging from $500 to $10,000 apiece, the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) has created 230 annual scholarships to financially support outstanding female students who are preparing for careers in engineering, engineering technology, and computer science in ABET-accredited programs. Generally, candidates must be pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree, attend university in the United States or Mexico, possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, and demonstrate financial need. 18. Tau Beta Pi Engineering Scholarships

As the engineering honor society, Tau Beta Pi proudly distributes 18 full-year scholarships for $2,000 apiece annually to full-time undergraduate college students in the United States who are currently completing an ABET-accredited bachelor's degree for engineering. Eligible applicants must be Tau Beta Pi members, have junior or senior-level standing, rank within the top fifth of their class, be actively involved in their university's chapter, demonstrate academic excellence, and be committed to building a career in the engineering profession. 19. Vicki and George Muellner Scholarship

Sponsored by the American Institute for Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), the Vicki and George Muellner Scholarship is presented annually for $5,000 to sophomore, junior, or senior-level students who are currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program related to aeronautical and/or aerospace engineering. 20. Willis H. Carrier Scholarship Program

Through the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), the Willis H. Carrier Scholarship Program is designed to deliver $10,000 to two lucky engineering students in honor of the founder of Carrier Corporation who installed the world's first scientifically designed air conditioning system.
