Each year, the Nevada State AFL-CIO sponsors three Arnold Jones Evans Culinary Workers Union Scholarships for $3,000 each to natural or legally adopted children of active or retired members of the Culinary Workers Union Local 226. 2. Bob and Kristen Tallman Reno Rodeo Foundation Scholarship

Sponsored by the Reno Rodeo Foundation, the Bob and Kristen Tallman Scholarship provides up to $2,500 annually to a graduate of any rural Nevada high school who attends the University of Nevada at Reno full-time with a declared major in agriculture, biotechnology, natural resources, science, pre-veterinary, or pre-medicine. 3. Clete Roberts Memorial Journalism Scholarship Award

4. CSE Insurance Youth Scholarship for Children of Public Employees

In order to promote driver safety and awareness among young people, the Civil Service Employees Insurance Company (CSE) awards one $1,500, one $1,000, one $500, and one $250 scholarship for children of full-time public employees in California, Arizona, Nevada, or Utah who have been accepted at an accredited U.S. institution. 5. Eugene and Nadine Stegelmeyer Scholarship

Established by the Community Foundation of Western Nevada, the Eugene and Nadine Stegelmeyer Scholarship is granted annually for up to $2,000 to graduating high school seniors from Washoe County who will be pursuing post-secondary studies with a major in teaching or geriatrics. 6. Far West Agribusiness Association Annual Scholarships

With the goal of providing outstanding high school and undergraduate students with a chance to pursue their educational goals, the Far West Agribusiness Association (FWAA) grants $1,000 annual scholarships to full-time students from Washington, Idaho, Oregon, Utah, or Nevada who will be pursuing an undergraduate degree related to agribusiness. 7. Governor Guinn Millennium Scholarship

Administered by the Nevada State Treasurer, the Governor Guinn Millennium Scholarship provides up to $4,500 to one qualified collegiate senior from northern or southern Nevada who is majoring in the field of elementary and/or secondary education with the intent of teaching in the state upon graduation. 8. Greater Nevada Credit Union Scholarships

Annually, the Greater Nevada Credit Union awards fifteen scholarships for $1,000 each to members or the child, spouse, parent, or legal guardian of Greater Nevada members who demonstrate financial need for assistance in attending any accredited post-secondary institution within the United States. 9. Horatio Alger Association Nevada Scholarship Program

Funded through the generosity of Association Member Stephen A. Wynn, the Horatio Alger Association Nevada Scholarship Program distributes six annual awards for $6,000 apiece as financial assistance to students in the state who have exhibited integrity and perseverance in overcoming personal adversity. Established by the Nevada Library Association in memory of a committed advocate for school library programs in southern Nevada, the James S. With the goal of promoting the presence of foreign cultures and an interest in international affairs at the University of Nevada Reno, the John Wright International Incentive Scholarship is granted to currently enrolled undergraduate students who exhibit a profound interest in international issues. 15. Nevada Business Education Association Scholarships

The Nevada Business Education Association awards up to three annual scholarships for a maximum of $3,000 each to graduating seniors who have successfully completed a minimum of two years of business courses at a Nevada high school with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher in these courses. 16. Nevada Regents Service Program

As a state-funded program that provides paid internships and employment placements, the Nevada Regents Service Program is available to financially needy undergraduate or graduate students within the state who are interested in receiving tuition assistance in exchange for participation in service or applied learning opportunities. Designed to strengthen the community by empowering women to improve their lives and those of their families, the Nevada Women's Fund offers scholarships ranging from $500 to $5,000 annually to women in northern Nevada who are pursuing an undergraduate or graduate course of study at a northern Nevada accredited two or four-year educational institution. 18. Powerful Partnership Scholarship Program

For graduating high school seniors, NV Energy hosts the Powerful Partnership Scholarship Program to provide one-time awards for $1,000 each to students who reside in the service territory of Elko, Humboldt, Pershing, Washoe, Churchill, Lyon, Mineral, Esmeralda, Lander, Eureka, Nye, and Clark counties. 19. Reno Pops Orchestra Hillary Case Memorial Scholarship

At Nevada State College, the Robert A. 22. State Bar of Nevada Diversity Scholarship

Annually, the State Bar of Nevada's Diversity Committee grants two $5,000 scholarships to students enrolled in the University of Nevada at Las Vegas' Body School of Law with the goal of increasing diversity within the leadership of the legal profession. 23. TEACH Early Childhood Nevada Scholarships

The TEACH Early Childhood Nevada program provides scholarships for home care providers, center teachers, directors, owners, and teacher aides working in a licensed facility at least 30 hours each week. In order to be eligible for receiving 80% of tuition, 80% of books, a $50 stipend every semester, and a $500 bonus, candidates must be attending Truckee Meadows Community College, the College of Southern Nevada, Western Nevada College, Great Basin College, the University of Nevada at Reno, or the University of Nevada at Las Vegas.
