5. DSS Foster Child Tuition Waiver and Fee Assistance Program

Deadline: April 1st

Administered by the Massachusetts Department of Higher Education, the DSS Foster Child Tuition Waiver and Fee Assistance Program provides a full tuition and fee waiver equivalent to 100 percent of the resident in-state tuition rate at a public institution to foster children in state custody who were neither adopted nor returned home. Each year, the General Federation of Women's Clubs (GFWC) of Massachusetts offers Memorial Education Fund Scholarships to female students who are pursuing an accredited graduate degree program for study in Mental Health or Education. The John and Abigail Adams Scholarship provides a full merit-based tuition waiver for up to eight semesters of undergraduate education at a Massachusetts public institution. 16. Paul Tsongas Scholarship Program

The Paul Tsongas Scholarship Program recognizes strong academic achievement by rewarding Massachusetts students who have graduated from high school within just three years with a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher and a highly competitive SAT or ACT score.
